How often can we expect updates to be rolled out? And does the game update itself or do we have to manually download the new version?

Updates at least for now are manual, so you'll have to go to update in the main menu and the new version to download will appear. The major update will be about 1 a month while the fix patches I believe when you discover the bugs.

We will aim to update around 1 time per month, but this interval will be longer if there are vacations and such of course. We'll also do quick patches when needed to try to keep the game playable =)
