There could be no mistake that the game was showing the wrong sector, since the sector B was far away from A and was off-screen when the mission interface was showing me sector A as the target for the mission. Idk, however, how game can show a sector for a mission, if it says that the sector is "???", but what I described is what I have experienced during this play.
