Update frequency?

How often can we expect updates to be rolled out? And does the game update itself or do we have to manually download the new version?

When you enter the game at the bottom right the developers release notes, when an update is available you will read it there. Updates at least for now are manual, so you'll have to go to update in the main menu and the new version to download will appear. The major update will be about 1 a month while the fix patches I believe when you discover the bugs.
