Base Metals are a resource that can be obtained through Mining or Trading.

Uses
Base Metals are used to craft:
- Steel Plates inside a Metal Refinery (when combined with Carbon)
- Electronics Component inside a Electronic Fabricator (when combined with Noble Metals
Base Metals are also used in combination with Carbon inside a Metal Refinery to craft Steel Plates.
Crafting
Base Metals cannot be crafted. They can only be obtained by mining from an asteroid or trading.
